Congressional leader Kevin McCarthy to speak at Michigan GOP confab

U.S. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) will be speaking at the Michigan Republican Party’s biennial conference next month.

McCarthy joins freshman U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) on the speakers’ list for the conference scheduled for Sept. 20 to 22 at Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel.

Given the close ties between the Michigan GOP leadership and President Donald Trump’s campaign and the importance of Michigan in the 2020 election, there’s considerable expectation for either Trump or Vice President Mike Pence to make an appearance. The Michigan GOP will be making additional speaker announcements soon.
