Michigan has had an outsized role in Donald Trump’s political career, as it was the last place he held a rally before his shocking 2016 victory. And this is where he chose to be Wednesday night, when the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach him.
Trump held a rally in Battle Creek attended by more than 5,000, as well as GOP U.S. Senate candidate John James and state House Speaker Lee Chatfield (R-Levering). Vice President Mike Pence arrived earlier in the day and made stops in Saginaw and Frankenmuth.
